Project Manager

Project Manager

Project Manager will be responsible for budgeting, scheduling, implementing, and completing projects including ground up, new construction, open store remodel and tenant build outs, among other turn-key solutions.

POSITION LOCATION:  Crestwood, Illinois

DUTIES:

  • Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion.
  • Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverable and estimate costs.
  • Oversee all onsite and offsite construction to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
  • Select tools, materials and equipment and track inventory.
  • Meet contractual conditions of performance.
  • Review the work progress on daily basis.
  • Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
  • Plans ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
  • Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licenses.
  • Analyze, manage, and mitigate risks.
  • Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Understanding of all facets of the construction process.
  • Familiarity with construction management software and MS Office.
  • Ability to plan and see the “big picture”.
  • Competent in conflict and crisis management.
  • Leadership and resource management skills.
  • Excellent time and project management skills.
  • BS degree in construction management, architecture, engineering and/or equivalent field experience.

Traveling Construction Superintendent

Traveling Construction Superintendent

DUTIES:

  • Oversight of day-to-day field operations, safety, sub-contractor performance, quality control, scheduling, reporting and customer service.
  • Familiarity and understanding of plans, specifications, site, local codes, local officials, and inspection procedures.
  • Coordinate and maintain construction schedules to ensure projects are being completed on time and according to drawings and specs.
  • Daily submission of project status reports and daily job site photos, along with weekly status updates and progress photos.
  • Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and knowledge of MEP building systems.
  • Strong technology abilities including competency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to read blueprints and specifications.
  • Knowledge of MEP building systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • 5+ years of relevant retail construction experience required.
  • Willingness to travel nationwide is required.
Project Coordinator

Project Coordinator

POSITION LOCATION:  Crestwood, Illinois

DUTIES:

  • Prepare & set up project files for jobs.
  • Obtain city, county, mall & landlord requirements for each project.
  • Solicit subcontractors and collect subcontractor bids.
  • Generate & track subcontractor purchase order agreements.
  • Collect & track subcontractor insurance certificates and W-9’s.
  • Complete Notices of Commencements when required by state.
  • Prepare project documentation for each job including sub lists, closeout letters, etc.
  • Other misc. administrative-duties as assigned by the Project Managers and Vice President.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Technologically Advanced.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented and efficient.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to multi-task with various issues and projects at one time.
  • Highly motivated, resourceful and a self-starter.
  • Good communication & interpersonal skills.

PREFERRED:

  • Relevant construction experience and/or bachelor’s degree are desired.
